Biography

Joseph Alexander Cook was born 25 Jul 1810 in Cabarrus, North Carolina, United States.

He married Sarah Blackwelder 15 Sep 1832 in Cabarrus, North Carolina, United States.[1]

They had 8 children, Mary Jemima Cook Suther (1833–1879), Leah Elizabeth Cook Phillips, (1834–1907), William Valentine Cook, (1836–1922), Sarah E Cook Misenheimer, (1839–1920), Franklin Cook (1840–1933), Jane Melissa Cook Foil (1844–1934), Joseph Alexander Cook, (1847–1885), and Caleb M Cooke.[2][3][4]

He married Rachel Elizabeth Guffey after 1876.[5]

He died 19 Apr 1897 in Cabarrus County, North Carolina, United States and was buried in New Gilead United Church of Christ, Concord, Cabarrus County, North Carolina, USA[6]
