Pansy was born on 28 July 1903 in Northam, Western Australia.[1] She is the daughter of Stephen Cook and Frances York.

SHEMELD-COOK. St. John's Church, Northam, was the scene of a wedding on Monday, September 3, between Miss Pansy Beatrice Cook, third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. Cook, of Chidlow-street, and Mr. Hunwick George Shemeld, of Bencubbin. The Rev. L. C. Brentnall officiated, and Mrs. But-cher, presided at the organ. The bride who entered the church on the arm of her father, wore white georgette with silver panels and beaded embroidery, em-broidered veil (lent by a friend) was worn with a coronet of orange blossom. A bouquet of cream roses, carnations and fern was carried. Miss Margaret Cook (sister of the bride), and Miss Marjory Shemeld (sister of the bridegroom) were bridesmaids. Mr. Carlisle Cook was best man and. Mr. Norman Cook groomsman. Afternoon tea was served at the bride's parents' home and the usual toasts were honoured. The bride travelled in a frock of biscuit crepe de chine and gold lace, with hat and furs to match.[2]
Pansy died on 12 October 1993 and is buried in the Bencubbin Cemetery.[3]
