Sarah Cook was born about 1838 in Upper Canada.[1] She was the daughter of William Cook and Jane Clapham.[1]
In the 1851 Canada West census, William Cook (56) was living in Vaughan, York County, Canada West, with wife Jane, and children William, John, Mary Ann, Thomas, Elizabeth (19), Margaret (18), Harriet (15), Sarah (13), George and Charles. The children William through Thomas were born in England, and Elizabeth and after were born in Canada.[1]
She is not listed with her parents in the 1861 Canada census, so was probably married. It is thought that she married a Mitchell.
Possible record: In the 1861 Canada West census, Sarah Michael (21, born about 1840 in Upper Canada) was living in Vaughan, York, with husband Wallis Michael (28).[2]
Her date of death is not known.
