Henry was born in 1901.[1] He is the son of Philip Cook and Charlotte Cavanough.
Henry was known as Harry. He never married and has no known progeny. He worked all his work-ing life for the NSW Railways. He started work in the Chullorah workshops and worked as a clerk all his time with the NSW railways.
He lived in Lidcombe and Burwood, suburbs of Sydney NSW, and was a loved uncle by his nieces and nephews and supportive brother to his brothers and sisters. It was once said of him that he could not boil an egg and he loved to tell the story of cooking a christmas pudding in a kettle and sucking it out through the spout. He was somewhat eccentric in that he always wore a hat - inside and out - he always came late to the table so that he never ate a hot meal.
He died after "legging off" a train as it passed through Lidcombe station. [2]
