Sarah Cook was born on 12 Sep 1874 in Tambaroora, New South Wales Australia, daughter of John Cook (1836 - 1907) and Emma (Banks) Cook (1842 - 1881). [1]

Sarah married Frank Brierley (~1870 - ) on 11 Apr 1893 in Rockdale, New South Wales. [2]

- Emma Madeline (Brierley) Burtt (1895 - 1986).
Frank died in a train accident when Sarah was 28 years old with 2 small children. Frank's brother, Henry Brierley (1863 - 1919) married Sarah in Sep 1904 in Rockdale as he wanted to look after his brother's young family.[3]
