Biography

Harold was born in July 1904 in St. Marys, West Virginia. His parents were Edwin Ambrose Cook and Florence Myrtle Zimmerman.

By 1920 his father had moved the family to Edinburg, Portage, Ohio, USA.[1] In 1930, he was living with his widowed mother in Franklin, Johnson, Indiana, USA. He was working as a music teacher at the local college.[2]

Harold married Gladys Ethel Calkins on 5 Dec 1942 at the Baptist Church in Richmond, Virginia, USA. The Rev. Theodore F. Adams presided.[3] They were both in their mid-30s at that time.

Harold served in World War II, a corporal in the 3rd Training Regiment from 1942-1943.[4], [5]

He passed away in December 1967 and was buried in Lewisburg Cemetery, Lewisburg, Union County, Pennsylvania.[6]
