Herbert L. Cooke, 61, of Fairforest, died at Spartanburg General Hospital at 5 a.m. Tuesday.Native of Spartanburg County, son of the late Alfred and Ella Bogan Cooke, employe of Fairforest Finishing Company for past 36 years, member of Fairforest Baptist Church. Survivors: wife, Mrs. Margaret Simmons Cooke; son, Harold Cooke of Lyman; daughter, Mrs. Annie Weathers of Laurens; sister, Mrs. Birdie Miller of Fairforest; brother, Cleveland Cooke of Greenville.
