Amos, son of Caleb and Sarah (Adams) Cooke, was born at Kingston, MA March 12, 1750. He married first Lydia Stetson, daughter of Elisha and Sarah (Adams) Stetson, on October 24, 1780. She died March 16, 1785 and is buried at Old Burying Ground in Kingston.

In 1762, Thomas Adams of Kingston was appointed to be his guardian.[1] In 1764, Thomas Adams petitioned the court to sell some of his land.[2]

In 1769, Gershom Cobb of Kingston was appointed to be his guardian.[3]

He married second Eunice Eaton, daughter of David and Deborah Eaton, on January 11, 1787. She died at the age of 40 from "influenza" in 1799.

He married third Sally Bradford on April 9, 1801. They had a daughter that born ca. March or April of 1805 and died on October 5, 1805 at the age of 6 months.

The family removed to New York where Amos died on February 20, 1844.
