Biography
Mary Cooke was born in 1730 in Anson, North Carolina, the daughter of Abraham. She married John Thurman in 1752 in Virginia. They had nine children in 17 years. She died in 1826 in Chesterfield, South Carolina, at the impressive age of 96.[citation needed]
