Karen Cooke was born in England.

I was born in Sunderland, England but I have lived in Richmondshire, North Yorkshire since 2011.

The majority of my family are from North Yorkshire and County Durham on my mother side and Lincolnshire, Retford and Manchester on my fathers side of the family.

Although I come from a very small family in the present, I discovered over the years that I come from a huge family. Growing up we believed my Great Grandmother only had one sister. She actually had 18 brothers and sisters. Her parents come from equally as large families in the Richmondshire area. Our family always joke that if you come from Richmondshire that you will be related to us.

I find great satisfaction in untangling a messy family tree!

Hi Karen

We sent you a message about a week ago about the England Project but have not yet heard back from you. If we don't hear from you by this time next week we'll assume you no longer wish to be in the project.

Many thanks,

Susie, Gillian, Wendy and Amy

Hi Karen

On behalf of the England Project Leaders we're carrying out a check-in to see how all the members are doing and taking the opportunity to thank you for all your hard work over the past six months. We have been so impressed with the way everyone has rallied together and gone the extra mile to make this one of the most dedicated, productive and friendly communities on WikiTree. What are you enjoying most about being in the project? What would you like to see improved or changed? Would you like to continue in the project moving forwards?

We're looking forward to hearing back from you,

Karen, Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, thus coordinating with others is essential.

I see you are still adding profiles. When you reach the 1700’s, I suggest England Project Leader Wendy Sullivan Click the link to read how to join.

Or use the Pre-1700 Projects list, located at the top of your page, 4th topic on right, under <Find> and <Projects>.

For questions, just ask!
