William was born in 1698 to Daniel Cooley and Elizabeth Walcott.[1] He married Elisabeth Clark on 11 April 1727 in Springfield, Massachusetts.[2] They had at least three children:[3]
William, Feb. 28, 1729/30, born in Springfield (Longmeadow). He was admitted to the Bolton Church at the time of his mother’s admission, 1759.
Elizabeth, Mar. 23, 1734, born in Enfield. She had a son, Dr. Samuel Cooley.
Charity, Sept. 18, 1736, born in Enfield; d. May ii, 1811, ae. 75; m. (i) Apr. 5, 1770, Enfield, Thomas Brown; m. (2) - Warren; res. Bolton, and died there.[3]
William (Sr.) passed away on March 10, 1775 and is buried in the Quarryville Cemetery.[4] His tombstone bears this inscription:
