Biography

Naomi was born on July 26, 1755 in Greenwich, Massachusetts Bay Colony to Benjamin Cooley and Marah (Needham) Cooley.^[1] She was baptized the same day.^[2] She married James Ewing on October 3, 1775 in Greenwich, Hampshire, Massachusetts Bay Colony.^[3] They were the parents of approximately seven children. The children's birth records show where the family lived. They stayed in Greenwich until about 1784 when they moved to Pittsford, Vermont. Several of the children were born there, then they moved to Canada. There is an anomaly - Margaret Maria is said to have been born in Pittsford, but her younger sister was probably born in Canada.:

Naomi died at 86 years of age. She was buried with her husband in Grafton, Northumberland, Ontario, Canada on May 4, 1841.^[4] Several of their children are there, too.
