Clark d. Feb. 18, 1813, Granville, Mas s., to which he came with his parents at an early date. He is buried in the Granville Cemetery, where a stone is standing in his memory.
Their son, Clark Cooley Jr., born 7 June 1769, married 28 April 1790, Candace Holcomb. They moved from Granville, Massachusetts to Hartford Twp., Licking County, Ohio, in 1813. Their daughter Candace Cooley married Leonard Parr. Their daughter Sabra Cooley married William Parr.
Clark Cooley's cattle mark was "a half penny the underside of each ear, being the same that had been Ezekiel Hale Jr's."
Clark Cooley served in the convention of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to ratify the Fede ral Constitution, from January 9, to Feb. 7, 1788, and voted with the minority against the ad option of the Constitution, as did his cousin Daniel Cooley5, No. 294, from Amherst.
Clark al so represented Granville in the General Court of the Commonwealth in 1789, and was a selectman in Granville in 1785, 1786, 1787, 1788, 1790, 1791, 1793 and 1795.
