Priscilla (Coolidge) Jones was a Native American and member of the Cherokee tribe.

Formed a vocal group, Walela, with her daugher, Laura Satterfield, and her sister Rita Coolidge. "Walela" translates to "hummingbird" in the Cherokee language. The band, which released 4 albums, was created with the intention of honoring their ancestors and also to share their culture with the larger world. Walela performed for the 2002 Olympics.
