Cautionary Note: Joseph H Adams and William C Adams as children of Joseph Adams and Betsey Coombs needs better documentation. The Web Page infomation I used as a guide reflects Joseph Adams wife as Betsey Merrithew.

1. I beleive this is in Error. Some of the documents I found list her as Betsey Coombs. [Noted: Most Genealogies reflect Betsy Cooms] She is possibly one of the unidentified daughters of Anthony and Ruth Coombs of Isleboro, Maine.

2. There are strong ties to the Merithew family of Vinalhaven and Morrill, Maine.

3. Secondary Information [death] reflects both William C Adams and Joseph H Adams may have been born in Waldo, Maine. Anyone with any information please leave a message.

My husband's family is descended from Phillip Adams and Elizabeth Jane Turpin,

then Thomas Adams and Hannah Parker,

then Samuel Adams II and Lydia Gowell,

then Nathan Adams and Anne Jenkins Polley,

then John Adams and Grace Tarr,

then Joseph Adams and Betsy Coombs,

then James Adams and Olive James [Jane] Staples (my husband's great, great grandparents).

His GG made the list of the family history back this far. I would love to talk to someone with information to document this
