Son of Peggy and John.

The 1880 census shows Elbridge C. Coombs as being 52, but it has obviously been changed because there is heavy handwriting (however, I am using the 1828 date). The wife's name and the children living with him match, though. Twins Howard and Horace, through James are listed.[1]

Never knew what the initial C. stood for.
