Joseph Coombs and his wife Elizabeth (Cambell) Coombs were originally attached as parents of Asa. This has been proved incorrect. They have been detached and a note as been left on these profiles.
He died 4 December 1877 in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky and was buried at Helsey Cemetery, Weir, Muhlenberg County, Kentucky. [4]

Asa was born 11 July 1796 and died 4 December 1877 in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky. A death notice found in records at the Muhlenberg County History Annex in Greenville, Muhlenberg County, Kentucky show his parents as John Coombs and Rebecca Wink. He and Melinda named a son Elias Wink Coombs. Another Coombs descendant and family historian has his father as George Eias Coombs

Martha A. Coombs was born 11 September 1837 and died 17 April 1899 buried at the Sears Cemetery in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky. She married James W. Casebier;
John Coombs born 13 January 1840 Bloomfield, Nelson County, Kentucky and died 4 October 1922 Muhlenberg County, Kentucky and is buried at Evergreen Cemetery in Greenville, MC, KY. He married Mary J. Casebier 4 January 1866 Muhlenberg County, Kentucky. John was in the Civil War.
Felix M. Coombs born 1844 Nelson County, Kentucky, we do not have any information on Felix.
Asa and Nancy moved with their family to Muhlenberg County, Kentucky about 1848/1849. Nancy died 29 June 1851-Asa married Priscilla Malinda Dillman 21 September 1851. Asa and Malinda had 8 children (let me know if you want that information. ) My Grandfather Coombs -Samuel Christopher (Chris) was their 5th child.
