ORVAL BURCHETT son of Marshall and Sarah (Grimm) Burchett was born December 13, 1890 in Decatur County, Iowa and died February 4, 1954. His entire life was spent on the Burchett homestead six miles north of Grand River, Iowa. He was united in marriage December 21, 1911 to Mary Alice Coon, daughter of Aaron F. and Margaret Evelyn (McNeal) Coon. She was born September 25, 1889 and died September 15, 1971. Both are buried in the Grand River Cemetery. To this union four children were born: Wanda, Wilda, Wayne and Orval Wade.
