John G. Cooper and L. T. Briggs [Texie] married 23 November 1876 in Hickman County, Tennessee.[1]
The 1880 census household of John G. Cooper and his wife Texie L. includes their daughter Jessa L. Cooper age 3.[2]
The Coopers' daughter, Jessie married first M. T. Bowen,[3] and second B. F. McClenahan.[4]
Jessie McClanahan’s 1900 census household includes her sister Mary Cooper, age 14 born January 1886 in Tennessee.[5]
Jessie McClenahan’s death certificate names her parents as John Cooper and Texie Bigg [sic Briggs].[6]
Clara Belle Cooper was another daughter of John G. and Texie L. (Briggs) Cooper. She married first R. L. Harris,[7] and second J. H. McCann.[8]
The 1950 census household of Clara B. McCann includes her brother-in-law James W. Rushing and her sister Mary A. Rushing.[9]
The obituary of Clara Belle McCann names her surviving family, including Mrs. Mary Rushing of Dyersburg [Dyer County, Tennessee].[10]
