Obituary Transcript: Mrs. Ada (Cooper) Pollitt, wife of Robert L. Pollitt, died yesterday [16 November 1954] at Pawtucket Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Pollitt lived at 17 Almy St., Saylesville. She was born in Manchester, England, May 16, 1894, a daughter of the late James and Mary Ann (Berry) Cooper, coming to the United States 47 years ago. She lived in Central Falls several years and later in Pawtucket. For the past six years she has resided in Saylesville. Mrs. Pollitt was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church and Queen Esther Chapter, O.E.S. Other survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Edna Baker of Saylesville; two sisters, Mrs. John O'Hare of Pawtucket, Mrs. Florence Crook, Rumford; three brothers, Walter and Enoch Cooper, both of Central Falls, and Arthur of Providence; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held at the Merrick Williams Funeral Home, 530 Smithfield Ave. Pawtucket, Friday [19 November 1954] at 1:30 p.m. with burial in North Burial Ground, Providence."[1]
