Research Notes

This profile has been created through the merging of 2 existing ones. One of these showed Maud's middle names as 'Hannah Vera' rather than just 'Vera'. This is despite there being no associated primary sources supporting this and it is quite clear in the original birth registration that there is no mention of 'Hannah'. On balance therefore the middle name has been entered as just 'Vera' but if either manager has sources supporting a second middle name then this can of course be changed.

Although the father's initials are slightly different, is the report of the marriage involving Hazel Maud Cuthbertson suggesting that she may be a daughter of Maud and Bernal: The Mercury (Hobart, Tas. : 1860 - 1954) Wed 6 Nov 1946 Page 5 Haas--Cutherbrtson?
