Biography

Jim Cooper was an early pioneer to Izard Co. AR. He came there with his uncle Matthew Dixon in the early 1850's. Jim was a blacksmith. His wife was Nancy Smith. They were the parents of Mary Frances "Sis", Isaac Franklin "Frank", Plancy Ann (Johns), Nora (Newman), and Melany. Jim inherited his father's fiddle and passed it on to his son Frank. Frank passed it on to son, Billy. Cousin Jim, rest in peace.
