Biography

Mary Elizabeth Cooper was born on 20 May 1920 in Charlotte, North Carolina, to Zack A Cooper and Mary E (Crouch) Cooper. ^[1][2]

When the 1940 Census enumeration took place, she had already married Charles Everette Purser, possibly on 10 Jul 1938, ^[3] and they had recently had their first child, Charles Everette Jr. They were living in the same house with Everette's parents Charles Purser and Jennie (Austin) Purser, his younger brother Carlton, and his younger sister Dorothy V (Purser) Sizemore and her husband Archie and child Jack. ^{[4] [5]}

Around 1960, Elizabeth moved with Everette, their daughter, and their grandson to New Jersey where they lived for the rest of her life. Their son, Charles Everette Jr., had already married and remained in North Carolina. ^[6]

Mary E Purser died 21 October 2001 in Hackettstown, New Jersey, and was buried at Hillside Cemetery, Lyndhurst, New Jersey.^[2][7]
