Biography

When Lydia Jane Cooper was born on December 6, 1817, in Wayne, Georgia, her father, Willoughby, was 22, and her mother, Mary, was 21. ^[1]

She married Ezekiel Dyess in 1839 in Ware, Georgia. They had nine children in 13 years. ^[2]

She died on December 18, 1881, in Baker, Florida, at the age of 64, and was buried in Olustee, Florida.^[3]
