  1. Source: #S332 Wed., 20 Jul 1938, p. 2 James I. Cooper, 78, died at 11 p.m. Tuesday at his home in Millersburg following a year's illness. He had been bedfast for three weeks. He was born March 21, 1860, north of Millersburg, the son of John and Lydia Cooper. He married Emma Keim in 1883. She died in 1930, and in 1932 he married Mrs. Flora Juday, who survives. He was a member of the Millersburg Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. James Gangwer of Millersburg and Mrs. Cecil Decker of Mishiwaka, a sister, Mrs. Jacob Thomas of Goshen and three grandchildren.
