Biography

After her mother moved to Claygate, Lucy took over the house at 185 Gordon Road.

After the death of her husband, Lucy accompanied her daughter may, and grandsons Harry and Lawrie to a house in Braebourne Grove, Peckham.

In 1940. In 1940 the house was hit by an incendiary bomb and burnt out.

After wartime stays in Somerset and Shropshire, she lived with May in a flat in Caldecot Road, Denmark Hill for the remainder of her life.

At the end of her life she was looked after by her daughter, May, and died in rooms in Peckham.

Described by Robert Hoadly, her grandson as "vinegary"!!!
