Biography

William Skirlock Cooper was born on 7 August 1853 in Marshall County, Mississippi, United States.

He served for the Confederacy in Company D of the 2nd Mississippi Infantry during the American Civil War.

William (13) married Eliza Ann Wafford (19) (born September 15, 1847) on 7 November 1866 in Marshall County, Mississippi. Their children were:

  2. Emma Florence Cooper (1870–1966)
  3. William Luther Cooper (1871–1933)
  4. Jodie Margaret Unknown (about 1874–about 1930)

He died on 7 December 1922 in Searcy County, Arkansas, United States, aged 69. He was buried in Angora Cemetery in Stone County, Arkansas.[1]
