Biography
Alvin Norman Cooper was born on September 30, 1908, in Logansport, Indiana. He was the son of Jasper and Nancy (Hearne) Cooper. He married Dorothy Louise Corcoran on June 25, 1936, in Cass County, Indiana. They did not have children during their marriage. He died on March 21, 1949, in his hometown at the age of 40, and was buried there.
Alvin Norman Cooper, 40, died at 9:42 p.m. Monday night in Memorial hospital after a lingering illness. He was admitted to the hospital yesterday morning.
Born in Logansport, Indiana on November 30, 1908, he was the son of Jasper C. and Nancy Elizabeth Hearse Cooper. He was employed at the Muehlhausen Spring company. He was a member of the Ninth street Christian church, the Eagles lodge, and Woodmen of the World.
Mr. Cooper is survived by his wife, the former Dorothy Corcoran; his father, two brothers, Charles M. Cooper and George W. Hammon, both of Logansport; one sister, Mrs. Mathline Sloop, Royal Center; several nieces and one nephew.
The body was taken to the Chase-Miller funeral home where funeral arrangements are being completed.
