Harrison was born 5/3/1832 in New York. He was the son of William Cooper and Ann (surname unknown). In 1850 and 1855 Harrison was living with his parents and siblings in Lancaster, Erie, New York. He married Selena (aka Salina, Celina) Griswold on 12/12/1859 in Sacramento, California. In 1860 Harrison and Selina were living and farming in Santa Rosa, California. Harrison died 7/28/1865 and is buried with family members in the Santa Rosa Rural Cemetery (Plot Rural MC 126).
