Eleanor was born in 1850. She was the daughter of John Cooper and Ann Wildegose.

In the 1881 census Eleanor (age 31) was living with her parents in High St, Wheatley, Oxfordshire, England. Her father was a master baker. ^[1]

Eleanor married John Clayton on 14 April 1885 in Wheatley, Oxfordshire, England.^[2]

In the 1891 census Eleanor (age 44) was living with her husband and 4 year old daughter in Wheatley, Oxfordshire, England. Her husband was a baker and they also had a baker's assistant (William Vallis) living in the household. ^[3]

Eleanor died in 1901 and was buried on 6 March 1901 in Wheatley, Oxfordshire, England.^[4]

Research notes

There is an Eleanor Ann Cooper with mother's maiden name Wildegose whose birth was registered in the Headington district in 1845. Unclear whether this is the same person but with errors in later records regarding her age or whether her parents perhaps had an earlier baby girl who died young.
