Not much is known about Luke King Cooperrider, Jr. He was born circa 1918 in Ohio (possibly either Perry County or Raccoon Township). He was the eldest of three children and the only son born to Luke Cooperrider Sr. and Lola (King) Cooperrider.
Luke was raised in Raccoon Township, Worthington, and Columbus, Ohio. He attended four years of college and became an accountant. He enlisted in the United States Army at Fort Hayes in Columbus, Ohio on February 14, 1941 to serve during WWII.
No other records have been found regarding his life past his enlistment in the United States Army.
