Biography

Harriet Mary Coote was born in 1831. She is the daughter of Chidley Coote and Jane Close.

She married, firstly, George Evans, of Portrane, son of Eyre Dixon Evans and Jessie Robertson, on 28 August 1855. The marriage was reported in the Freeman's Journal as follows; August 28, 1855, at Lea Church, George son of Eyre EVANS Esq to Harriet Mary, youngest daughter of Chidley COOTE Esq of Huntington, in the Queen's County.^[1]

She married, secondly, John Gordon, of Milrig, County Ayr. on 1 June 1875.

Harriet died on 3 October 1927 in Devon in England; her Estate was registered on 26 January 1928.^{[2][3][4] [5]}
