Roy Godfrey Cope was born in 1916 in Tibooburra, New South Wales, Australia. He was the fourth son and youngest of the nine children of Walter Cope and Catherine McMullans. [1]
Roy married Rose Elliott in 1946 at Randwick, New South Wales. [2] Rose passed away in 2009 and her ashes have been placed at Greenway Memorial Park, New South Wales. The Daily Telegraph carried the following notice: "COPE, Rose Aged 93 Beloved wife to Roy Godfrey Cope for the past 63 years. Adored mother to Beth, Jennifer, Greg, Joanne and Debbie, much loved grandmother to Ben, Kate, Elisha, Reece and Max and great-grandmother to Nina Rose. Loved 'outlaw' to Max, John, Barry, Alan and Lorraine. Funeral to be held at Greenway Chapel and Memorial Gardens, 460 Avoca Drive, Green Point on Friday, October 9th 2009 at 1.30pm. Following will be a Celebration of her Life at Cameo Place, Kincumber." [3]
Roy passed away, aged about 98 years, in 2014. [4]
