Referred to as Susan on the death certificate of daughter Martha Wade[5] and in the 1850 census[1]. Also, could potentially be the daughter of John and Polly McDonald (unsourced ancestry tree), or Wylie Martin and Rachel Caroline Evans.[6] There was a Marinda Copeland that filed for pension for her husband James's service.[7] At this time, It is unclear if this record relates to the Miranda Copeland of the current profile.
Notes
Dates and locations were compared through various sources from family records and internet searches. I used the information that appeared most often and matched closest with data collected from living relatives. It is unknown as to whether or not Carolina Miranda Copeland Wade and Adam Cornelius Wade remained married until her death, I have seen other sources that suggests Adam Cornelius Wade remarried at some point.
Parents are uncertain. James and Penissa seem the most likely considering this is the only Copeland family in Jasper County, Mississippi with a daughter that has an age consistent with her later census records. There did exist a 0–9 year old female listed in the household of Mrs. C. Copeland (possibly Caroline, wife of Coleman Copeland)
