Biography
Richard Coplen was born on 16 Jan 1806 in Coshocton, Ohio, United States. On 11 Oct 1827, Richard married Jane Martha Tipton in Coshocton, Ohio. He and his family moved from Coshocton, Ohio, to Fulton, Indiana, in about 1840. The first six children of Richard and Jane (Tipton) Coplen were born in Ohio in the 1830s, and James, their last child, was born in Indiana in 1841. In 1850, Richard Coplin (44 yrs) lived in Newcastle, Fulton, Indiana, with his wife, Jane Coplin (46 yrs) and children, William H Coplin (21 yrs), Elijah Coplin (18 yrs), Isaac Coplin (16 yrs), Mary J Coplin (14 yrs), Ransom Coplin (12 yrs), James Coplin (8 yrs)
