Biography

Caroline "Callie" Copp was the daughter of Minerva J Ferguson (abt.1850-abt.1881) and Abner Copp (1849-1919), born on 17 Aug 1873 in Indiana. The original Callin Family History gives her name as “Clarissa,” and puts her birthday in 1880, but the records do not support those facts. Callie grew up in Auburn, De Kalb County, Indiana.[1][2]

Callie married Franklin Meese on 6 Feb 1892 in De Kalb County, Indiana. Frank enlisted in the U.S. Army on 7 May 1892, and served only a brief time during peacetime. He worked as a drayman and he and Callie had two sons in Concord, De Kalb County.[3][4][5][6][7]

Franklin "Frank" Meese and Caroline "Callie" Copp had the following children:

Callie died in Mar 1900 at age 27 and was buried in Saint Joe, De Kalb County, Indiana. After that, their sons went to live with Frank’s parents in St Joe, and Frank moved to Columbus.[8][9][10][11]
