- There is a John who is registered as having 'intentions to marry' Susanna ELLISON on 26 Jun 1769 at Macclesfield. Unlikely unless there are more children born earlier, unless of course the marriage didn't take place for some time?[6] Coat-12 00:48, 19 December 2018 (UTC)
- Two Johns around the right time. 1744 at Wimslow parents Samuel and Margaret. 1742 at Mobbersley parents Aaron and Hannah. Samuel perhaps more likely, but both uncertain. Both look likely to be descendants of Bartholomew Coppock, b 1610 in Cheshire, England.
