Gabriel was born in Lauffen, Germany, migrated to the Netherlands and by 1658 he was in New Amsterdam, spent a few years on the Delaware, back to Harlem, first wife was Teuntie Straetsman, who had already had three husband which this book names as we show them here, the one being called Tileman Jacobs Vander Myen. Gabriel's later wife was a Brieta as her third husband.
