This CORBETT line, the “Talbot Party” Corbetts, has now been Y DNA tested using the Big Y 700 test at FTDNA. The haplogroup lineage has been determined to be “ R1b-DF27 > ZZ12 > FTT1 > FGC78762 > ZZ19 > Z31644 > BY2285 > Y5075 > Y5072 > Y5077 > Y5058 Breassal Breac > Y5061 > FT44669 > M756 “
This determination makes very clear the disambiguation with the Dufferin County Corbetts as represented by John Andre Corbett (Corbett-1139),
who fall under R-L21
This should remove any conflation of the 2 lines of Corbetts who did both settle in Ontario Canada in the early 1800s.****
