This is my maiden name and, sadly, it's probably the name in my tree that I know the least about. My 2g grandfather John Corbett b. 1849 in Ireland is my brick wall. He arrived in the US about 1865. He filed first papers in Rensselaer County NY in 1867 & became a citizen there in 1872. I have no idea where in Ireland he came from & he has proven to be extremely difficult to find in US federal censuses because it seems he bounced around a lot working in various iron & steel mills.
Who were the parents of Henry Liddle (1813-1878), my husband's 2g-grandfather? I think it was William Liddle & Phebe Reynolds of Washington County NY, but I can't find proof. (Wayne & Washington County NY Liddles)
My mother's maiden name. I have done extensive work on this line of my family.
