Biography

Alexander was born around 1858 to James Corbett. He was living in Belfast, Ireland and working as a clerk in 1876 when he wed Elizabeth Strain (whose father was Thomas Strain). ^[1] Here, they had at least one child. ^[2]

During 1901-1911, Alexander was living with his daughter Jane Anna (Corbett) Cregan and extended family in Belfast, where he worked as a linen yarn bundler. ^{[3] [4]}
