OAK PARK--Funeral for Mrs. Derlie Corbin Williamson, 91, was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2001, from Jones-Stewart Funeral Home Chapel, Lyons. The Rev. Walter Jarrell officiated. Burial was in Solomon Williamson Cemetery.
She died Sunday morning, March 4, in Treutlen County Nursing Home following a long illness.
A native of Emanuel County, Mrs. Williamson had lived most of her life in the Oak Park community. She was a member of Pendleton Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sisters, Bessie Williamson and Zelma Williamson, both of Emanuel County; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Irving Williamson, Van Phillips, Allen Morris, Drayton Oliver, Jonathan Williamson, Charlie Phillips, and Chris Williamson.
Honorary pallbearers were Harold Williamson, A.C. Saffold, Dale A. Morris, James L. Whitehead, Don Corbin, Hildrie Corbin, Michael Edenfield, Jack Meeks, Britt Boatright, Andy Morris, Neal D. Corbin, Curtis Corbin, and Bernard Hall.
