Biography

Sarah Stone, 3rd child of John and Martha (née Jones) Stone, was born 24 Feb 1719/20[1] She married (1) Francis Corbin, had issue: Martha Corbin, Edmund Corbin.[1] She married (2) John Norman, had issue: Rebecca Norman.

Death Date

Sarah was qualified as her late husband John Norman's executrix on 11 Nov 1757,[2] so clearly she was alive on that date. It was claimed (unsourced) on a now-defunct website (franciscorbin.com) that Sarah was buried at Circular Congregational Church in Charles Town, South Carolina on 02 Jan 1758. If true, this would narrow down her death date to just under a 2-month window. Her late husband John Norman's estate was "left unadministred [sic] by his Executrix", and was only completed on 25 Apr 1764 by Elijah Postell, John Postell, and B. Branford.[3] Thus, Sarah certainly passed away before then.

Sarah's maiden name was "Stone". She was the daughter of John Stone. Request that her LNAB be changed accordingly. In her father's 25 Jun 1756 will (http://wiki.normanroots.com/doku.php?id=transcriptions:wills:will_john_stone_1756-06-25), he mentions her as "Sarah Norman", reflecting her marriage to 2nd husband, John Norman.
