my name is Cristina Corbellani and I’m Team Leader for the Italian Diaspora section of the Italy project on Wikitree. You are receiving this email because you expressed an interest in the Italian Diaspora.
The aim of this part of the project is to identify the migrant Italians to connect their families of origin in Italy with their descendants abroad. We have specific resources for this purpose which are explicited here: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:Italian_Roots_Diaspora.
If you are new to Italian genealogy or are not familiar on how to trace a migrant ancestor, I’d like to invite you to join us the next September 30th to October 2nd.
On those dates we will doing the Source-a-Thon as Team Italy, a friendly competition in which we locate sources for as many unsourced profiles as we can over an extended weekend. But the important thing is that, whether you join the competition officially or not, or if you are joining another team (which you can do here if you like: https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/1463120/register-now-for-the-2022-source-a-thon ), if you drop by on the #Italy channel on Discord you’ll find almost always during those days someone ready to help you with your research, translations or resources websites. Or you can just drop by to say hello! We always have great fun during these events.
Hoping to hear back from you soon, best regards, Cristina.
This is Chris from the Italy Project. As part of the annual project check-in, can you fill in the project survey? This will let us know that you are still interested in the project and which teams you'd like to participate in.
Ciao! This is just a general check-in for members of the Italy project. I am checking to see who is still interested in being a member of the project as we go through some much needed restructuring. I was also wondering what teams you would like to be on. We’ve created teams for each part of Italy. North, South, Islands etc. They will be explained further in an upcoming g2g post. Stay tuned. For now, please let me know if you are still interested in the project and if you’d like to be a member of a team.
Hi David, thank you for your message, I was going to suggest merging both profiles together, I have looked at your sons profile to get her other Wiki ID, he has not created any profiles since he joined us. Take care
Hi David, yes sir I believe you are correct on the two William Hughes Lacy's. The younger Lacy being the son of Martin Lacy, a son of the older William Hughes Lacy.
There are a lot of problems and controversy about the chronology of many of these Taylor and related families. I've been studying them for a long time. I think I've got better estimates than a lot of people do, but there are still lots of issues. For the last few hours I've been writing an analysis of the Benjamin and Elizabeth Taylor family, but I have to go out for a couple of hours. I should be finished later today and will add it to the beginning of the profile text. With any luck you'll have some insight that will make it better or perhaps some other researcher will. Soon...
Hi again. Finally had more time to check. I think my comment was just simply that the text inserted so far already appears to imply that the relationships are plausible rather than really proven. In that case maybe the new "uncertain" function is appropriate.

I hope you check it out. If I have you down for a team, let me know. If you still haven't decided, feel free to comment. Thanks!
