Biography

When Noble Alexander Cordray was born on January 9, 1831, his father, Isaac, was 27 and his mother, Nancy, was 26. [1] [2] Noble was a private in the Ohio Infantry, 26th Regiment. [3] He married Clarissa "Clara" L Rennick around 1872. They had six children in 15 years. He died on April 25, 1893, at the age of 62, in Pittsburg, Kansas. He is buried in the Mount Olive Cemetery. [4] [5]

Family Memories: My great grandfather, Noble Alexander Cordray was born January 9, 1931, in Euclid, Ohio and died April 25, 1893, in Pittsburg, Kansas at the age of 62. Among his six children was my grandfather, Milton Cordray. What is interesting is there were other children named John, Charlotte and Clara. My grandfather, Milton Cordray, named three of his children by the same name, evidently after his siblings. I have researched those three, and John lived to be 94, Clara lived to be 65, but Charlotte died at age 25. My grandfather, Milton Cordray, was the oldest of the six children.

During the Civil War, he served in Company K, Ohio 26th Infantry Regiment from July 23, 1861, to June 16, 1862.
