Biography
After the death of her father, she was adopted by Josiah and Ellen Norcross. She married George L Congdon on 8 January 1866 at Grafton, Massachusetts. They had a son George L who died in 1899. They were later divorced. In 1885 Clara graduated from the Hahnemann Medical College and Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, as a homeopathic physician. She practiced in Boston and the surrounding areas. She married Dr. William E Simmons on 11 January 1888 in Trinity Church, Boston, Massachusetts. They had no children.
