Biography

Frederick was born at Oswestry on 17 August 1873. He was the son of solicitor Henry Christian Corfield and his wife Emily Corfield nee Ticehurst. His birth was registered in the third quarter of 1873.^[1]

He studied at Oswestry Grammar and, from 22 June 1893, at Christ College, Cambridge. He was awarded his B.A. in 1897. He was admitted as a solicitor in 1901.

He was ordained as Deacon in 1905 and then, at Chester, as Priest in 1908.^[2]

Curate of Tarporley, 1909-1910

Curate of Nantwich, 1910-1912

Vicar of Weston, 1912-1913

Rector of Church Eaton, 1913-1923

Chaplain to the Forces, 1917-1919

Vicar of Steeple with Tyneham and Grange, Dorset, 1923-1927

Vicar of Nettlecombe, Somerset, 1927-1939^[3]

Frederick died at Williton, Somerset in 1954.
