Biography

Catherine Corkran, daughter of Anthony Corkran and Marguerite Watson, was probably born about 1775.[1] The baptismal record for her daugher, Celeste, states that she was from Fort Pitt, Pennsylvania. The Fort was previously called Fort Duquesne.

She married John McDaniel, son of John and Elisabeth Yvens or Evans, on 18 Oct. 1789, the marriage was recorded at St. Landry Catholic Church, Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.[1]

John died before 1 May 1817.

Her children were born in St. Landry Parish and their marriages were recorded at St. Landry Catholic Church.
