Granville Corley was born 19 Jul 1822 in Virginia. He was the son of Pleasant Corley and Nancy Rion who were married in Louisa, Virginia.[1]
His family moved to Wilson County, Tennessee, before 1840.[2]
He married Sarah Ann Beasley 9 May 1843 in Wilson County.[3][4]
By 1860, his family was living in Muhlenberg County, Kentucky.[5][6][7][8][9]
In 1861, Granville enlisted for Civil War service as a Union soldier in the Kentucky 11th Infantry.[10] In 1882, he received a pension for military service during the Civil War as well as the Spanish American War.[11]
Granville Corley died 24 Oct 1911 in Muhlenberg, Kentucky.[12]
