Biography

Jesse was born about 1788 in South Carolina. He passed away in 1850 in Bibb County, Alabama.

(Frost Family Notes:

  • Records indicate his father was either James Alford Corley or Nathaniel Corley. Some family trees indicate that James and Nathaniel were brothers. The Frost records also list his birthdate as either 1780 or 1788 and the source of this information may have been a smudged document.
  • As of this entry, the Find A Grave memorial shows his birthdate as 1788 and his father as Nathaniel Corley. Nathaniel died in 1781 at the battle of Clouds Creek.
  • Supposition: If he was born in 1780 and if James and Nathaniel were brothers, James may have raised him.)

Corley-1676 and Corley-49 appear to represent the same person because: appear to be same person, he remarried in Alabama after his first wife Mary died.
